Major Russian Assaults Disrupt Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have caused blackouts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and faced problems to water systems, per reports from municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a different aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southern area, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has escalated strikes on energy facilities over the past few days, while officials has requested "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, Europe and the major economies - in supplying air defence systems and enforcing sanctions," was stated in a online statement.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 projectiles struck the country's power systems, characterizing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were working to restore power.

A series of attacks struck electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by city authorities.

Local officials said the metropolitan region experienced heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A young boy lost their life and multiple civilians were hurt.

The attacks succeed evenings of aerial attacks in the territory, portions of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to identify.

Government officials told the media that Moscow was purposely seeking to destroy the national power system, with assaults already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and officials were anticipating additional strikes.
